grrr....moving mobilesync folder?

Hi folks,

Installed a new SSD in my mac pro. Was going through WhatSize and wondered what this mobilesync folder was! It was 13.6 GBs. It's the i device backups from iTunes.

It's located in users/library/application support/mobilesync

My iTunes folder is set to my external HD.

Does anyone know how to automatically have the mobilesync folder save to another folder? I'd like to keep as much space free on my main SSD HD as possible.

I googled and seen a few suggestions, but they seem like hoops. No definitive way in iTunes either.

PS. Happy New Year!

You can't move the folder without breaking iTunes backups. What you can do, however, is create a symlink or alias to the new location.
