Anyone have the new iPod Nano?

I'm thinking about getting one for the gym... anyone have it yet? Wondering if there are any gripes with it...

I was checking on Apple's website to see if the in-ear remote control earphones were compatible with it or not, but I didn't see any mention of them. Anyone know?

While I don't have one - I'd bet that the touchscreen controls would be terribly hard to press and control with any accuracy when you're on a treadmill, for example.

I'm not sure I agree with this. I used an iPod Nano in the Apple store a couple if days ago and it was surprisingly easy to use. Also in the gym I always control my music from the headphones anyways.

Ah, seems they've updated their site to show compatibility with the new Nano... either that, or the content differs slightly from the iPhone app. In any case, the ADDIEMs are compatible.

I'm going to go pick up a new Nano shortly. I hope the sound quality is equal or better than the iPhone 4.

Picked up a graphite one (they only had blue, silver and graphite at Future Shop).

Screen's alright, after getting really used to the iPhone 4's retina display, it's really difficult to appreciate anything less than that now. No big deal though, as I'm not going to be staring at the screen nearly as much.. it's just for the gym anyway.

One thing I'm not happy about is that it forced me to update iTunes to 10. I've been holding off because I don't like some of the new things they've implemented in it. I really don't appreciate how Apple forces us to upgrade to newer software versions, stops digitally signing previous iOS versions, etc.

Anyway, here's some pics for those who like pics:

Couple gripes:

- No way to upload my own wallpaper (or else I haven't figured it out yet)
- The screen gets squished when you squeeze the spring clip. I get the feeling after a while that's going to have an effect on the LCD.

EDIT/FOLLOW UP: It's going back. The sound quality is absolute GARBAGE. Exaggerated upper mids and treble make for a VERY fatiguing listening experience. This is the worst iPod I've listened to in years.
