Question How do you organize your apps screens ?

Not unlike most iPhone users probably, I've accumulated a large number of apps on my iPhone (more than 7 screens worth of). I can only now conclude that it's becoming a mess to navigate from screen to screen trying to remember where I put that app I remember installing...

So my question to you is how do organize your apps between your various screens?

I've mostly given up organizing my screens aside from the first screen or so, too much of a pain. It's an incredibly poor design interface wise to force users to jump through hoops the way they do in organizing the screens. it reminds me of the "keep desktop icons arranged" options which I also hated. One icon gets removed and blam! tons of your stuff moves to a new location. It also reminds me of one of those picture games where you can never get the piece you want into the place you want

I do my best to keep the most used stuff on the home screen, and then I have games (3 screens worth) and a page of ones that are more my kids, work stuff etc.

Also I am not sure why but I insist on each screen having at least one gap at the bottom, so none of my pages are full, again not sure why I do this but for some reason I have stuck to it.

Funny, I do the same ?!? Wonder why too. Maybe because it makes moving apps around on that screen easier (no automatic switch to the next screen?)

I agree too that the apps location management is clearly not the best thing Apple has come up with. Is there an app for that ?

Where ever it installs. I leave it alone and I never move them around. I find its no big deal to flick my finger to go from page to page and I have 10 pages of apps. Thats the beauty of the iPhone.

i wish there was a way to group apps in different folders in itunes ... so it'd be easier to manage which ones you want to sync.

after a couple hundred of apps it becomes a huge headache to figure out which apps you actually want ON the iphone. hopefully apple will figure out a better way.

For my iPod touch the only thing I have on the 1st page is what it came with. Then the games and apps I use the most are at the first pages to the stuff I don't like as much at the end.
