Cool that it's finally here, but I've been using gPush for a few weeks and after a few bumps in the road at first, it's been fantastic for me since. I get my notifications on my iPhone through it faster than they will actually show up in gmail when I refresh.
When I got up this morning, I checked my email on my iPhone and there was nothing in my Gmail account... a few hours later I sat down at my MacBook and there were in fact 11 emails that had come in over night that were not "pushed" to my iPhone.
It took a while, but, everything seems to be syncing properly now!??
Maybe the service was overloaded from everyone setting up and doing that first push!!?
Has anyone figured out to get the "pushed" emails to be left as "unread" in Gmail? I have a desktop setup using Macintosh Entourage and if one device (set up as POP) sees the email, it gets downloaded and the second device sees it as "read". My desire is to have the desktop have all the emails and I use the iPhone as notification when out and around.

You should be using IMAP on the Desktop and not POP in order to get the experience you are looking for.
