Ontario Traffic View: Promo Codes

Hi I have an application called "Ontario Traffic View" that pulls together all the traffic cameras in Ontario from different sources. I am looking for someone with a US account to give a promo code to for you to try it out and let me know in detail how it work over 2g or 3g. I have had a couple of people complain about the speed it pulls images on an iPhone but I can't test it since I only have a iPod touch. So I need some one with some that I can ask slightly more technical questions then my users are able to answer to try to narrow the issue down better. I just had an update that came out that threads the program to load images in the background which I hope fixed the issue but I want to make sure.

Again the reason I am specific about US AppStore accounts is because promo codes only work for the US accounts, and I am obviously not going to ask some one to pay and then help me out.

You can create your own US iTunes account without buying anything or using a credit card. A quick Google search will show several results. You can then use the promo code to make the "purchase" and have the app for yourself.

Here's one:

I forgot to update this thread. Thanks to the people that messaged me, The bug was fixed and everything is working fine. Also, thanks for the feed back, due to the improvements I have done from peoples feedback I have now reached #6 in the navigation section of the Canadian App Store.

It has always be available in the Canadian iTunes store. At the moment it is #6 in the navigation section on the Canadian store. http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/M...301380081&mt=8

The reason I was looking for people with a US account is because promo codes only work for US accounts. Since I was asking for someone to do me a favor by testing I didn't want to obviously force them to pay for the app. So I needed a Canadian resident who could properly test it but could use the promo code to get it for free.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my original message.

Well-deserved. Excellent app.

For labour day I am giving away 5 promo codes for Ontario Traffic View. Again to use promo codes you have to have a US account (Sorry Apple does not allow Canadians to use promo codes), but f you want to buy the application it is in the Canadian AppStore

iTunes Store

I have recently updated the application for the 3.0OS. You can now select the traffic camera you want to see using an interactive google map. In the next update I will also be adding collision information and construction information on the interactive map.

Great, seeing your post, I checked iTunes and saw that OTV was one of two new updates (along with Air Canada). Have now synced up..... (didn't get the notification on the iPhone AppStore though - presumably that takes longer to permeate). Over the air, the map view takes a few seconds to load each grid but you can scroll along the camera pins if you know the topology of the highways (its easy to find the DVP...). BTW people, this is a 99c app and well worth it.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I am glad people enjoy my hard work. If you have time please take a moment to write a review in the AppStore so potential customers can hear what people think of it.

There is a new update I have submitted that will make the map faster to bring up and should be a bit quicker to use. Also it will be add accident and construction info right on the interactive map. With my last update it took Apple almost 3 weeks to approve, you wont see it for probably a week or so.
