I just wanted to give a shout out while I'm still as giddy as a school girl.
Two weeks ago my 3 year old G5 iMac would not boot up and I was 12 days out of Apple Care. Since it's my primary computer I opted to drive from Hamilton to Sherway Gardens to at least get an idea of what was going on. The Genius determined that the logic board was gone and even though it was out of warranty they would fix it for free, which I felt was above and beyond. They had the parts so the turn around was only a few days.
I called back a few days later to see how things were going and was told that the unit was not ready as they were waiting for parts and they would call when it was done. Four days later I get a call from Shannon a Tech. at the Sherway store with the news that they had tried different logic boards and all had a problem with the display. He then proposed to me that they were willing to give me a new 20" iMac because they were unable to repair the G5.
So here I am typing on my brand new iMac that came with a warranty, (I added Apple Care) and Apple reaffirming that they have a customer for life. :clap:
Wow! That's some serious good luck.
I wonder if this kind of thing happens at Dell? ;)

Edit: Hmm.. maybe my iMac, in 10 months should "accidentally have something bad happen to it"...
