Don't like grid view in iTunes 8

I'm not keen on the grid view in iTunes 8. I may not have configured things correctly, but on sort by artist, it doesn't, err, sort by artist. I get it mostly sorted correctly, but then a bunch of 'unknown album' entries, before returning to some alphabetical entries. If anyone has any suggestions, please tell.

My only with the grid view is that I can't figure out how to quickly jump to Now Playing. If you switch to cover flow and wait a minute it'll go back. Every time I assume apple's missed a feature like this it's sitting right in front of me. Any suggestions?

That's how I used to view my music before iTunes 8, and that's how I'm using it now (even though there is still a flaw in the sense that most albums are separated by a space, but some run into each other). I guess I wanted to see what the hype was all about, plus that's the default view when you first install iTunes 8.

Seems strange though...I'll have to post a screen shot when I get home.

I do like the grid view. more visuals then just coverflow view I guess. and it seems kind of consistent with iPhoto. I would like to be able to change the default album cover in Artist view of the grid view though like choosing the key photo for Events in iphoto.

To get to now playing, in the small status window showing the artist/duration of the song, click the little swooshy arrow to the right.

I don't like how the genius button took over the album view
Now I can't just view just my albums without having it littered with "unknown albums"

I Love the Grid view, it did force me to clean up some of those 'unknown' tags, and that is a good thing.

In 8.1 I would like to see the album flip like the iPhone/Touch and list the items basically...
