help with numbers - need currency field with ,

Hi All,

Im using numbers to do some calculations. I formatted the cell to provide the $ symbol.
However, I would like to have a , once I pass 4 digits

$1,000 or $10,500 currently numbers shows the values without a comma $1000 or $10500

I find it easier on the eye with a comma.

Anyone know how to do that?

I'm using Numbers 3.6.1

Fairly easy; Right corner of the top icon bar click on the Format button, select cell, select currency under data select, check the thousands separator box.
