How to mass erase all iPad Air 2 emails

I have over 9000 emails on my iPad Air 2. I do not want to erase one at a time. I can not find a method of erasing all at the same time

At the bottom of the screen all I see is [Mark All] highlighted (which I have done) but the [Move] and [Trash] are not. They do not come on when all the emails have been Marked All.

Is there a method that I have not come across yet?

Thanks for any advice.

Yeah, this is something that sucks with iOS.

I wonder what would happen if you just deleted the mail account from your Mail settings? Would that maybe remove all the mails associated with that account in one shot?

Cheers

Depends, in part, whether we are talking about POP or IMAP....... The OP gives no details.

Perhaps you might have better luck performing the delete thru the Mail provider's web interface??

How do you delete all your emails on an iPad?
To delete ALL inbox emails just select the first one to edit, press and HOLD the move button, AT THE SAME TIME as holding this, deselect first email and then then after a second or two, release hold and you then tap TRASH. ALL emails will then go into your trash, ready for you to delete All when you wish.Feb 18, 2014
