No Longer have device or access to device-iTunes association

We have moved on from some of our old iPads and iPods, they are still associated with my iTunes account. I need to remove them to make room for the new ones.
I no longer have the old devices, and therefor cannot access them in any way.

I have removed my old computers through the iTunes menu, but that does not remove the IOS devices.

Any idea how I can remove these devices?

THX JU

I tried that...

If you can't click Remove (the button is grayed out), the device that you're trying to remove has connected to your Apple ID within the past 30 days. Sign out of the iTunes Store on that device, then try to remove it.

The devices I need to remove are grayed out, and I don't have access to them.
So I cannot access the physical device to sign out of it.

Any other ideas?

Maybe this then…???

"I can see the option on my device in the iTunes app (From your iDevice, go to the AppStore (or iTunes) and scroll to the bottom. Click on your iTunes ID and select View Apple ID. You'll then see an option under iTunes in the cloud to "Remove This Device".)

Ok so this is what I did to remove a device form my account. Login to your account via WEB BROWSER, view devices, select the one you want to remove then click remove. Done.

That also means the users of those devices can buy things with your Apple ID if they know the password.
