Hey guys
So I tried to update my apps on my iphone 3. But I get error that the account has been disabled due to a security reason. It asks me to reset password and relog in so I do it however every time I go back to App Store it does the same thing over and over. I have reset password twice. Now the account is used on my phone and my old one. Is there a fix? If not can I make a new account? I am not sure how or what to do... Please help.

  • Why not just call Apple?
  • Tell them there is a problem with your account - describe the issue.
  • It is to their advantage to help you fix the issue - after all they make money off it.
  • Has always worked for me...

So for some reason the account got locked out, but its working now. I signed out, made a new one then signed out and retried old one and it worked.

The issue I have, is this.. I had to use the OLD one to download the OLD apps that still worked on my iPhone 3. If you have an account that you did not download an older version, the older apps will not download or work on my phone!!! There area couple apps I have tried to get but they do not work.

Is there a way to download older version apps?

Are you downloading to iTunes? If you do that it will call the latest version, which will not work on the iPhone you have as you have found out. You cannot use iTunes to get apps for older versions of iOS.

If you use the AppStore app on the phone you will be told the current version does not work because it recognizes the iOS version on the phone. But then the store offers to deliver a version that will work. I have to do this with my Gen 1 iPad on iOS 5.1.1. Mostly this works out but not always as some developers seem to pull their older versions.
