In wall USB Outlet/Chargers

I was looking at these a whilst back, but started my search all over again.

They sell this one over @ Home Depot.

Anyone here have one?? A few of these around the house make total sense, esp if you have little dinner parties.. always someone looking to charge a phone. And I've needed an extra outlet of late now that i use a Mophie case.

I saw a 4 USB unit one, but can't seem to find it again. It was in the USA. 4 might seem like much anyhow...

My only concern with this is the "vampire power" that they might draw when not in use. Plug-in models draw a very small amount when left in the wall unused, I would assume these do as well. I haven't seen any manufacturer say that there is no draw by the USB adapting unit itself. I know it's a very small, some would say insubstantial, amount of energy but when multiplied by every adapter in every household in NA...

And yes, I've seen some different models (two standard outlets and 4 usb outlets) online but not in stores.

This will charge one iPad 3 @ 2.1 amps in one USB port, or 2 of anything of a lower combined amperage, in the two USB ports. To clairify, the USB Ports are not intended to charge two tablets simultaneously.
Also read that some were failing after a couple of days.

Monoprice has an interesting alternative:

3 Outlet Power Surge Protector Wall Tap w/ 2 USB Ports and Phone Holder

Reviews are generally quite good too.

Usb charging

This is the one I've been using for the last 2 months.
It's made by "Cooper" and i bought it at an electrical wholesaler
It charges both ipad & ipad mini at the same time
So far so good
