Mac OS X now just OS X... Why?
Last time Apple changed the name of their OS was when they went from "System Software" to "Mac OS". Was about the clone business IIRC.
Now they're doing it again... What for? Do they intend to run OS X on "non-Mac" hardware?
I can't find anything about the name change on the web, leaving me with only theories. What's yours?

They're merging OS X with iOS to a certain extent.

Well, yes, they've been trying to bring iOS's features to the Mac for a while now. I kind of fail to see why that would warrant a name change?
