The Fiat 500 IS better, but not because of the wheels.

I don't know if this'll pay off or not for Microsoft. It's hard to gauge how successful it'll be until it gets released. My office has a couple of Windows 7 based tablets right now and they suck. If Microsoft still can't get on screen typing right, it'll still suck. People buy tablets instead of laptops because they may not have the luxury of a surface to rest the machine on. iPad has a great on screen keyboard. Everyone I know who has one loves it.

Just because it comes with a stylus does not mean it has style!

The Windows 8 Version (not the RT) will run normal applications. That may be a game changer. I don't know how many times I've been asked about running Simply accounting, quickbooks, outlook, etc. on a tablet.

We shall see how well though. But potential for sure.

Interesting about the Atom processor. Especially if you've read Isaacson's Biography about Jobs with Jobs wanting the Atom processor in the ipad, and admitting it wouldn't have worked..

Guess Microsoft didn't read it.

At this point MS can claim anything they want about multitasking and what apps will run and so on, since no one can disprove it. For all intents and purposes, the Surface is still vapourware and will be until about Christmastime.

Oprah hasn’t been shy about her love for the MS Surface. In early November, she claimed that it was one of her favorite things. This morning, she tweeted that she has bought 12 for Christmas gifts. She sent that using Twitter for iPad.

The Surface is on Oprah Winfrey’s list of 48 favorite things,

I hate people who give joke gifts, like this tablet and fake scratch lottery tickets.

I think it's sad that people have to make fun of a truly great product like the Surface because they feel insecure, jealous or just plain elitist about a product they prefer.

You mean like the way they made fun of the iPad before it started selling gangbusters, comparing it to a feminine hygiene product, for example? Yeah, I hate it when that happens.

Could you point me to a review with that conclusion. Just one will do.
