Guys (ADMINS), is there absolutely NO WAY to mark these SOLD items in the thread overview?... You have to read every post and try to decipher which is still available, and all you have to go on as far as availability is concerned are any comments by any kind soul who happens to remember to update their posting...
It's not very efficient.
Okay, I'm done. I've said my piece.

They dont care. MANY people have complained about this, but from what I understand, the old ads are kept for bookkeeping purposes. They dont really care about making this forum more efficient for the visitor.

some people like to see whats available and if the price is right, buy it.
It's called window shopping or impulse buying.
Not new and very common.
Yes, that's exactly what I was trying to do. However: click. Look around, look around. Oh, it's sold. Huh. Okay hit the forum thread home button. Browse. Oh! Cool! I'll browse this o... Oh, wait. That's sold too...
Rinse and repeat.
I like window shopping as much as the next guy, but I at least like to know when everything in the store is already sold before I step inside to browse.

Basically----We need an icon beside a posting that indicates the item has been sold,
It will prevent us from having to scroll down each for sale thread to find out whether it's been sold or not.
Cheers!

I think for this version of VB it's a pain in the arse, and if they are considering a major upgrade to another forum software, why bother?
In the interim, gmark if you're an admin you should have thread title edting. I have it on a vb I admin. But jeez why would anyone have to scurry around chasing ads that are sold anyway?

But how does anyone know it is sold anyways if the seller never comes back to indicate it is sold? I just don't see how this is a site or admin problem.
