Where's my IP address?

Hi Friends
In my on-going effort to fix my connection woes, I'm trying to install a previous firmware version in my airport extreme.
However, when I go to install the update (downdate?), a box comes up showing no airport extreme to select. So then I click "other" and a box comes up asking for my A.Ext.'s IP Address.

Problem:
I don't know what or where that IP Address would be.

Do you know where I find the IP Address for my Airport Extreme?

Thank you!

The default address is 10.0.1.1 unless you have changed it.

Now that that's answered, you can check your computer's IP address by going here:

The IP address is 10.0.1.1
but when I click on that link, the IP address is xxxxxxxxx

Do you know which one I should use?

DGary answered your question. Use the 10.x.. number.

I stated that if you want to know your *computer's" IP address, go to that site.

Now delete your IP before nefarious persons use it for evil deeds!

Aaaargh!

I don't want to go to Computer Engineering school.

I am downloading Airport Extreme firmware, but it has an icon that looks like the Airport Extreme Base Station. I want to downgrade the firmware for the Airport Extreme Wireless card that's inside my computer.
They both have the same name, so I don't know how to find the firmware for the Airport Extreme card inside my computer, not an Airport Extreme Base Station.

Do you know how I find the right firmware?

On the Apple support page, I typed "Airport Extreme wireless card firmware download", but I get all the airport extreme firmware downloads, and not one even looks like what I'd read was the solution.

Should I use different search parameters?

I guess now we need to know which router you are using. The router is assigned an IP address.

I wouldn't fuss with the Airport Extreme Card inside your computer.

Router: Speedstream that I bought from Sympatico.

I thought I read on another thread that installing an older firmware helped the airport problem. But when I went to check to be sure, the web site had turned intoa paid subscription only.

Holy geez, these things get complicated fast.
