suggestions for a simple Desktop Calendar?

Hi, all. Before I bought my beloved ibook two weeks ago, I used a handy little program called Active Desktop Calendar on my Windows machine. It was nothing special; just a monthly calendar displayed on my desktop over my desktop wallpaper to which I could add notes for important dates and such. It also had a very useful semi-transparent To-Do list which was also displayed on the desktop alongside it.

I've tried to use iCal, yes, but I find that it's a bit too... for lack of a better word, large. I really only want something that will display a monthly calendar and a to-do list on my desktop at all times. Something simple. I've also tried PandoCalendar, and it's great... but there's no to-do list, and I definately need a to-do list..

With all this in mind, does anyone know of any freeware or shareware programs out there that would fit my needs?

thanks in advance,

-avalon21

If you're running tiger there is a great calendar widget, don't think it has a to do list though. maybe use your stickies application to leave a list in a corner somewhere.

There's a really neet little widget called "To Do Tracker." That's a great to do list.. but I'm not sure if you wanted it to interact with your calender or not.

thanks for the replies, guys, but I think I should clarify that I DON'T currently use Tiger. While I have received the Tiger installation DVD from the up-to-date program, I've decided to hold on until a couple of updates pass by and perhaps after I get a RAM upgrade before I switch over to Tiger from Panther. Panther fulfills all my needs for now. Thus, I can't really use any Dashboard widgets :S

Snapple Quaffer, I've tried Pando Calendar as I've already stated, and it's great but it lacks a To-Do list, which I need.

Thanks for your replies, and thanks in advance for any new ones!
