Networking with Bell Speedstream 6520

Let me begin by saying I am a complete novice. We're with Bell Aliant in NB and just had DSL internet installed. We're currently using a Speedstream 6520 modem for internet access and as a wireless router. I would like to extend my wireless network with both a Time Capsule as well as an Airport Express. From what I've read so far, I need to disable the wireless function on the 6520 and put it in "bridge" mode so that it only acts a modem. My Time Capsule would then be the primary base station and router. Is this correct? And if so, can anyone tell me how to do this in plain English?

Why not bypass the Speedstream completely? Set up PPPoE on your time capsule with the same username and password you would use on the Speedstream, and use it as your router. Then turn off wireless on the Speedstream and you're done.
