Listening to LP's on turntable using Airport Express..
I'm at home a bit these days and decided to listen to my old LP's. Is there a way to hook up the turntable using an AE that will let me listen to my music in another room? I have a couple of AE's, an Imic, powered speakers and an Imac.
I could spend a few hours disconnecting and connecting wires experimenting but if anyone could let me know if they've done it or know how, I'd appreciate it...
AirPort Express will only allow for a printer to be connected to the USB port. Nothing else will work.
You'd have to run the audio through the iMac, then out to the AirPorts.

Your post got me thinking a little bit ... I have a turntable hooked up to my Mac through the headphone jack but it's been hooked up so long I couldn't remember how it was done. It's actually hooked up through a Griffin product that look like it's been discontinued (5502-TTCC Griffin RCA to stereo mini-jack adapter cable with grounding for turntable (UPC: 685387030040)) Because it's just a 3.5mm jack, it could be plugged into the speaker jack on the Airport, I suppose, but that's not going to help with the speaker issue.

Speaker jack on AirPorts is audio out only. No input.
