Hey!

Today I tried connecting my TiBook to a friends iMac DV with the iMac being the target disk.

I started by transferring a reletively small 50 mb file, and that took 14 mintues! Something is definetly wrong since when I connected to his network using 100 mbps it took a few seconds. Since firewire is 400 mbps shouldn't it be even faster? Definetly not much slower.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's not right. Way to slow.

Try it the other way around, TiBook as the Target.

I was always under the assumption that Target disk mode was designed for laptops.
(Please note this is only an assumption)
