ClickOnMacs. I recently took a friends QS 800DP to them that was out of warranty. Asked the ClickOn guys to give it a run through (PCI in particular)...make sure everything is 100%. They tested the system for 4 days. Total service cost: $16.40.
1. I have had no complaints using "Creative Technologies" in the past.... Good advice, speedy reliable service and good price/value...
2. I have not had any Service needs since the motherboard of my G4 400 AGP was recalled by Apple... 2 month after purchase {and about a week after Computer City was bought by FS}...
Since it was a warranty replacement, Apple said I could use any authorized Apple Service...
So I used Global Graphics in Mississauga, the owner is one of the best mac guys I have ever met... Top notch, he usually locates and diagnoses my problems over the phone.

I swear by the folks at CPUsed over on Bathurst & Dupont. I find them to be quick, helpful. I've had no issue to date in the 4 yrs or so I've been dealing with them.
I swear alright... almost every time I deal with them. The few times I called for help they put me through to their tech department, which leads straight to voice-mail, I leave a message... and they never call me back.
When I finally do get someone on the phone, it seems as if I'm dealing with support staff from PCUsed; they rarely have a clue of how a Mac works. I swear and swear and swear alright.
However... all my dealings with MacDoc have been heavenly. I've never bought a single piece of equipment from him, nor ever hired his services for anything (never had to -- I have a Mac remember! ), but he always helps me with my buying decisions. When I was ready to ditch my pizza-box Mac for a new Machine, he listened to what I used it for and where I planned to go down the road, and what my budget was, and recommended a used beige G3. Four years later it's still humming along. Ditto in recent days when I made the risky move to installing dvd on my beige -- he helped me settle on the right burner that would likely ensure success.
One of the these days he'll be rewarded for his help but, thus far, he doesn't complain about it.
Oh yeah, and it's his fault I'm here. I had a question he didn't quite know the answer to so he said "Go to ehMac.com. There's always someone who can help you."
I've always been able to fix it myself...I still can't figure
out what the extra screws are for though

Macdoc has saved my butsky on several occasions. One night especially after hours when my monitor bit the dust and I had a big job due the next day.
Before I discovered MD I dealt with one shop that charged me $200. when my computer wouldn't start up. The same thing happened a month later and a buddy suggest I try MD. The Macdoc told me how to solve my problem over the phone for free. The man has my vote.
Don't worry we ALL have our horror stories but if you take care of Macs and their users for 18 years you "shoulda learned sumptin'" by then
We DO tho' keep odd hours as clients will attest to.
