Just a crazy thought here - on Beige G3's, OS X has to be installed on the first 8 GB of your hard drive. What if you installed OS X on the first 8 GB on your partitioned drive, and then copied (drag and drop) the System and Library folders on to your other partition - would this make a valid bootable OS X on the other partition? I know, this sounds crazy. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Actually, I'm surprised someone hasn't made a full-fledged hacked-installer to disable the barrier.

If that were possible, I'm sure someone would have done it. Actually, I think the limitation is built into the circuitry.
