Ipad 2 Advice

I am purchasing 15 ipads for my school-very cool. They have left me in charge of them. They also bought me a macair to "run" the ipads from.

The macair is 1.8 156 gig
I have an older white macbook, it is at least 5 years old now with an 80 gig HD.

The advice I'm looking for is which mac should I sync the ipads too?
The macair will be used all the time, plus as a multimedia computer at school
The white macbook (which I don't think I can upgrade to lion-but need to check) will not really be used all that much.

The iPads are to be used as a mobile lab, I would download apps to the central computer and then sync to the ipads...

Thoughts, concerns ideas?

Thanks
JU

As long as you do not store much media on the computer that will be used on the iPad, you should not have any concern about storage issues on the Macbook Air.

Do you mind giving me an estimate on how much you intend to store on the Macbook Air to sync with the iPad?

That would be tough to determine. Really music and iPad apps. Not much else.

Any videos we would move off the iPads to an external

I was also wondering about maybe storing the itunes library on a external HD?

Moving your iTunes library to an external HD would be recommended...
