Sorry to open a new thread but Raven's thread appears to be corrupt and does not allow a reply.

It is quite possible the client (un)intentionally toggled the do not allow print option when creating the pdf. Try doing a save as and see if it will then print.

Also, there is more than one way to print a PDF. If it doesn't print from Preview, download the latest Adobe Reader and open it in Reader. Or if it fails in Reader try Preview.
Occasionally, if you open it and then print to PDF rather than to your printer, it will re-render it and make the resulting PDF printable.

If you have Illustrator or Photoshop you can open it with them. Or Acrobat Pro, obviously.
Or look for another piece of software that can read the PDF and render it to another image type.
