macbook a1278 palmrest assembly - where?

Any recommendations on where best to buy macbook a1278 palmrest assembly? The cheaper the better.

My friend's kid spilled juice on keyboard and now a portion of the keyboard doesn't work. Works fine with an external plugged in. I took it apart and tried to clean it up but no luck, still glitchy keystrokes.

Is the top case yellowed at all (juice notwithstanding)? It may qualify for a warranty replacement.

Top case isn't yellowed at all. Why would it qualify for warranty replacement, John Clay?

If no replacement, may be interested jwooton. Will PM

Cracked/discoloured top cases are being repaired out of warranty, though liquid damage supersedes any otherwise qualifying issues, meaning it's no longer an option regardless, even if the problem(s) were there prior to the liquid damage.

The display never turns off either. The top Apple logo is always lit. Any ideas?

bad hall effect switch/battery connector board would be my first guess, having ruled out software issues etc.

Any reason to think I couldn't just replace the keyboard portion?
