I bought a B&W G3 recently and the chooser only select a Laserwriter 8 printer and not my Personnal LaserWriter eventhough I did put it in the extension file. Any ideas? I'm using 9.2

model of personal laserwriter please

i assume you are talking about a personal laserwriter 300?

if so, this is not a postscript printer, quickdraw only

i don't know if it is supported in 9.2

Hi Michael

It's a Personal LaserWriter LS, an antiquity that runs real nice. On an other partition of the HD, I installed 9.1 and it to does not recognises the printer, only LaserWriter 8.

I just downloaded the extension from Apple and put it in my extensions folder. I then opened the chooser and it showed up on the left side. (I'm using OS 9.1)

Make sure you don't put this file in the Printer Descriptions folder in the extensions folder. Just put it in the main extensions folder. Printer Description files are only for Postscript printers (Your Laserwriter LS doesn't use Postscript).
