Silly Snow Leopard Question
I have just gone from Tiger to Snow Leopard. Snow Leopard does not put the Macintosh HD icon on the desktop. I miss it. How do I put it back there?

That's odd. That didn't happen to me when I upgraded. But I did find this for you. Hope it helps.

Snow Leopard - Missing Hard Drive Icon
I am going from a PB G4 to a MacBook Pro, so the default clean desktop was on. Now the messy desk top is on and I am happy.
Thank you

Glad I could help. I tend to prefer the messy desktop too. And I find it's easier to open multiple finder windows with icons on your desktop too.
