Ever since upgrading to Jaguar, I haven't been able to sync my Palm IIIe. I've gone though every Palm Knowledge Library entry I could find, rooted around PalmGear.com, had a couple of rounds with Palm support, and half a dozen exchanges with Extensius, the manufacturer of the USB to Palm cable I use. No luck.
Has anyone out there had the same problem or knew someone who did & successfully solved it? I'm at my wit's end.

this may help or it may not .. but I had a simular problem with my m500 syncing in 10.2 and in the HotSync Software Setup - Connections Setting I had the Palm Connect and USB Connections ON - I turned the PalmConnect one off and it has worked like it should since.
That was a hard solve let me tell you too .. until I figured that one out I pulled out half my hair ...
I hope it's the answer you're looking for .. otherwise good luck in search for an answer ...

I had similar problems a while back. My solution was to uninstall iSync, Palm Desktop and the Entourage conduit and then reinstall them in the same order (i.e., iSync first).
Have a look on the Apple Knowledge Base...there are several lengthy threads that ought to help you diagnose your troubles specifically.
Thanks for your replies and questions. Here's what I can tell you
1) What application are you trying to synch to?
Anything at this point, but Entourange would be best. (I have the latest conduit for Entourage.)
2) What exactly happens?
After insuring the Manager settings are correct (Sync Enabled, listen on USB, AppleTalk off), I plug in my USB to Palm cable (have tried both the USB router and directly into the back of the PB), select HotSync, and watch while the Palm displays "Connecting to desktop". Eventually, I get the "Could not establish a connection..." error.

Will do!
