My problem is that now when i install a program CD the execute icon shows that it is now an Adobe Elements file. When you activate it goes to the Elements program not the disk program????/
I can't seem to see where the problem is, maybe os setup has changed the default for inserted cd's

Stumped - anyone have an idea

What are you using OSX? or OS9?

If it's OSX, just get info after clicking on the icon, and then change the "Open with" section to make it open the app you need to open to run the installer. DMG is a disk copy file, and the others you must know, if not, write here.

Tnx for the input - took awhile but finally got it to change so it used finder to open.
using os 10.2.4
