I know someone will assist. I always get an answer here.
Holy @#$%! Checked my data plan with Cogeco yesterday, I hit 119 GB of usage in July. Bloody crazy. I then realized that my stepdaughter (bless her heart...) was with us for almost three weeks, getting some TLC before heading back to Toronto to start a teaching gig. She and I likely did our usual surfing and such; I give her my password for the router in the home. She's into all the things a young woman would be into, thus, she probably chewed up more data than I did. Still ... DOUBLE my limit! I never check my Cogeco e-mail, so I missed the alerts, too. My bad.
Anyway, what's done is done. I assume it's legit, that we DID use that much.
So, should I be looking at the 120 GB plan for $35 more monthly? Is that insane?
Thanks. I'm a hurtin' cowboy here this morning.

Well if she is going to be gone presumably your usage should drop back to normal should it not...?

But have you known people to use 120 GB in a month???!!! I'm shocked.
Next dilemma, 'screature'. We're having an International student (17-year-old girl) coming for the new school year. I'm pretty sure she'll have her lap top and will be chewing up data as well. I'm wondering if I'll need that 120 GB plan.
I'm still almost shaking at the thought of last month's usage. Unfrickingbelievable.
Umm I regularly use significantly more than that... On average about 250-300 gb a month... I have no television or cable so all my entertainment is streamed or downloaded from iTunes etc... Can't wait for netflix to come out in canada this fall
Wow. 300 GB????!!! I guess you're choosing to budget through the 'net which would offset our $150 cable bill.
Maybe I'll need to suck it up and get the 120 GB package. It's only $35 more. Beats paying $90 for exceeding the limit.
We've exceeded our 110Gb two months straight now. Between betas for iOS/Xcode and all the new shows and movies popping up in the iTunes store, it gets eaten up very quickly!
I'm with a provider that doesn't have a limit (Primus) so no nasty overages... I pay $30 for Internet, and $20 for Home phone, unfortunately you can't get the net alone from them (I don't think I've ever actually used the phone other than a brief test call when it was hooked up to ensure it works), have to take the phone bundle... but the bundle is still cheaper than what bell charges for net alone... there are options out there other than the duopoly of Rogers/Bell...

I used 425GB last month. Slightly more than normal - I average around 390GB.
