MSN Messenger crashes

I can sign in version 7.1 I think and now I moved to 8 Beta in hope. When I sign in and go to check my mail or msn and check hotmail my buddy starts to bounce saying that Iam currently signed in at another location, but Im not. Move to firefox maybe?

Schmidty, I am having the same issue as well. The problem is that indeed you are signed in a different place. Now you might ask "Where though?" If you go to Hotmail to check your mail, you will notice that, there is a built in web version of messenger in Hotmail. That's why when you sign into Hotmail, to check your email, Microsoft Messenger realizes that there is another location which you are logged into, and that is the web messenger. It's a problem due to Hotmail, having that built in web messenger, which means you can also chat from there. Not sure when this problem will be fixed though...

I became too frustrated with MSN for Macs----its no where as good as the Windows version and i finally downloaded, ADIUM which is far superior--------its great, it handles my MSN contacts and it also handles all my FB contacts as well as a few others, I could use if I did

Id check out Adium---really, you wont have problems with it like the Messenger for Mac
