Do Not Use Stickies for important work!
On reboot 2 0f 3 stickies have disappeared.
Next reboot did not fix.
There are 2 posts on Apple discussions and no solutions as yet.

Saving of sticky notes is a new feature for OSX; those of us who used stickies in OS9 remember that you had to save a sticky as text or it was gone.

Since there are posts on the discussion board, I would expect a bugfix in the next OS revision (Apple staff read the posts, even if they don't reply).

Thanks gordguide, we will wait a fix of this flakieness.

Instead of Stickies; use iCal and Backup.app. EVery night around 11, my iCal to do list is updated to .Mac. If you do not have .Mac, you could setup a Webdav server to do the same thing. I've never lost a TO DO item or contact using that method.
