Question

Hi, everyone

I've had a problem for a while, now; I'm hoping someone out there has a fix.

I've got a pm6100, OS 8.6, 136MB ram. My launcher window is HUGE! It extends off the bottom of the display. As a result, I can't size it, and it hides anything behind it. I've tried zapping PRAM...no change.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

How many Launcher items/categories do you have? If the Launcher window is large because it's jammed with icons, then try re-sizing the icons....hod the Command button while mouse clicking in the Launcher window. An icon selector box will appear....select a smaller icon size and see what happens

Thanks, Peter

I'll try that tonight, and see how it works.

Hi Minstrel,

Another easy solution:

1.) Quit the Launcher.
2.) Trash the Launcher Prefs from the Preferences folder in the System Folder.
3.) Relaunch the Launcher.

It should be back at its default location and size at the bottom of the screen.

Thumbs up

Hi, Philip

Thanks for the alternative. I'll give these two ideas a try at home tonight.

Fink-Nottle's suggestion should work if the problem is not related to the number and size of the icons. Trashing the prefs file of any application will knock it back to the original defaults.

Hello, all

Thanks to Peter and Phil for your suggestions. Peter, adjusting the size of the icons did not work. However, Phil's fix worked like a charm. Everything is back to normal.

Again, many thanks.
