Removing Rosetta Message

Before installing Snow Leopard I removed a couple of "old" Mac programs.

Upon startup I am still getting a message telling me I need Rosetta to run this program and it asks if I want to install it.

I would like to stop getting this message asking if I want to install Rosetta.
Can anyone help?

I do not want to install Rosetta unless I have to.

You will get this message any time an application lunches that requires Rosetta (ie: contains Power PC code). The only two ways to avoid the message are to stop using PPC-based applications or to install Rosetta (which only activates when PPC-based applications call on it).

If there is a specific application that always asks for Rosetta, locate the application and Get Info for it. It may have the "Use Rosetta" checkbox filled. Uncheck it and see if that stops the Rosetta request.
