Gmail sends me my own sent messages!?!

I have Apple Mail 2.1.3 on my Mac Mini (see below) and Mail 3.6 on my MacBook (also below). Both of these pick up messages that I compose and send from Gmail's web-based program and put them in my Inbox. So, when I'm not on my own computers, and I use Gmail to send messages, these end up in my Apple Mail Inbox. This is annoying! How can I stop this from happening? Or do I have to rely on 'Rules' to move it elsewhere?

Thoughts please,
B

One more thing. When I open Apple mail from either of my computers, it downloads messages from 3 different web mail accounts: yahoo, hotmail and gmail. But only in gmail does the following happen (the account settings in Apple mail are identical for yahoo and gmail): My gmail messages only download to the first computer that I open up mail. After that the gmail messages do not download to the other computer.

It is the usual and proper behaviour for GMail. You are probably using IMAP, so messages will not be downloaded to multiple machines - since that is what IMAP is for. If you do want messages duplicated across machines, then you should use POP. (Most people do not want mail downloaded to multiple machines, so that is why they have IMAP - but if the reverse is what you want, POP will be the solution).
