Have you DISABLED smc fan control (which should never have been on there in the first place) as instructed?

Okay. You didn't mention it, so I thought I'd ask.

Is there more than one account logged in? Could something be running in that other account?

I was running Safari & Photoshop.

Safari, I wasn't browsing anything major, just FB and ehmac

Photoshot, I wasn't editing a large file, just a pic for FB

I dont know what's going on but its tripping me out

Is this an older copy of Photoshop and/or running under Rosetta? That would DEFINITELY cause the fans to ramp up.

Follow-up thought on that Rosetta point:

If Photoshop is the CS3 or later variety, you might have some third party PLUGINS that are running under Rosetta and need updating. Rosetta causes the fans to crank up on my Blackbook, that might be the issue.
