I have my iPod Touch music library (and podcasts) setup on my laptop running Windows XP with iTunes. If i want to reinstall Windows XP on this same machine, how should I go about saving & backing up all the content currently on my iPod Touch?
Will the following steps work:
(1) Backup entire contents of the iPod Touch to a HD before the Windows XP reinstall
(2) After the Windows XP reinstall, get the latest iTunes
(3) Sync my iPod Touch to the new iTunes install
(4) Restore iPod Touch contents from backup saved in step 1 above
I would like to make sure that I don't get the sequence of steps above wrong since I have quite a few old video podcasts saved on my iPod Touch that are now no longer available through iTunes. And I REALLY WANT to make sure that those saved video podcasts are not "lost in translation"!
FYI: the reason for reinstalling Windows XP is to upgrade to a bigger, faster notebook HD.
Thanks for any help on this.
