No audio in Final Cut Express

When I import analog video to iMovie 06 through a Canopus ADVC-110, both video and audio come through clear and clean. When I try the same setup with Final Cut Express HD 3.5.1, the video appears, but no audio. (No audio as it imports either.) What should I look for/change in FCE?

Do you not get any audio on playback? When you capture in FCE, you cannot hear the audio during capture. Check for audio after capture.

Sorry for the tardy reply; stuff.....

No, there is no audio recorded with the video in FCE. Nothing appears on the audio tracks. I have the Easy Setup set to DV NTSC DV Converter. (Same thing if I have it set to DV NTSC).

Just as an FYI. I ran into a similar problem last summer, although it was only one song out of 9 or 10 that I was using.

I realized that it was the only song that I had purchased through iTunes, the rest were from CD's that I owned that I had imported. There were steps that I had to take to get it converted but somehow I did. I suppose that now we can switch to the DRM-free version, it wouldn't be a problem today.
