Macbook Pro Screen Quality

Hey

I am running a Macbook Pro Penryn 15" 2.4 GHZ.

I have the problem with the screen getting the dark stripes up from the bottom, I just haven't gotten around to taking it in for a repair. I was wondering if you guys could tell me whether the bottom of the screen should look darker than the top (on a normal basis). My screen has a browny-yellowy tinge on the bottom and it is nice and bright at the top. The bottom looks as though it is very dirty.

Anyone else experience this. Hopefully the new screen will fix this issue.

It doesn't sound normal to me...

However, an LCD that does not have 100% even lighting across the entire panel isn't necessarily a defect and could be within the acceptable range. However, very dark areas or discolored areas are not within any acceptable range.
