Renaming My Internet Connection

Hi - I have wireless internet via my trusty Airport Express, and am wondering if I can rename it. When it prompts me to log on, there are a couple other connections in my area with REALLY cool names, and I want mine to be cooler than boring old applenet324269 or whatever it is.

Anyone know how?

You change the SSID identifier name using AirPort Utility located in your Utilities folder.

I actually highly recommend people to rename their connections because the default name is usually a dead giveaway to any passerby of what make of router you use, thus making it that much easier for them to try to hack it using any known vulnerabilities that might exist for it.

Also make sure you have WPA2 password security enabled at a minimum. There are other ways to secure your connection further, but they get a bit more technical.
