My safari browser window has disappeared

When safari opens, the headings are all there but there is no browser window. What can I do to get it back. I'm using op.system 10.3.9. Any suggestions?

If you go under File and click "New Window" does it actually open a new window?

No - nothings happens - still no browser window. Incidently, had the same thing in firefox once and had to delete "localstore.rdf" in the library. I just don't know the equivalent in Safari.
Thanks
Liz

What if you engage Exposé? Does a browser window zoom into view then?

Try selecting that window (that you can't see) from the window menu, and then from the same menu then select Zoom. Maybe it's offscreen or miniaturized somehow ...
