new mac book. can't get on the web! help

Ive called mac 5 times in the past 3 days. And I still can't connect to the internet wirelessly nor using bluetooth or even using an ethernet cable. It ends up asking me for the ip address and everything. I can find most of the info but some of the other info I cant . I would rather just use my alltel moto q to use as a modem. Does anyone know how to set up an alltel moto q with bluetooth to my mac? If so can I get step by step instructions pleeeeeaaaasssseeeee

using motorola phone as modem

okay.
1)turn your bluetooth enabled phone one
2) turn your mac on (yeah, I know-silly, but...)
3)go into the menu on your phone, go to connections. Turn bluetooth on
4) make sure that phone is discoverable.
5) go to the bluetooth icon at the top of your screen and click on it
(Bluetooth setup assistant)
6) choose mobile phone
7) when prompted, punch in the bluetooth pin number on your phone
that should be it. Bear in mind though, that not all bluetooth features
will work on all phones. eg: motorola RAZR v3-cruises internet, synchs up
contacts and calendar, etc, motorola KRAZY K1M-just internet only for now

there you are

yea but wat about

Yea I did that but then after putting in my username and password (which is my phone #@alltel.net and password alltel)it asks for an account name, phone number, and password. Is the account name and password the one for my mac?

answer to your question

afaik, yes
I sync'ed up a Motorola Razr v3 with no problem at all(contacts, etc) . The KRAZR K1M didn't do so well- I could just use it to surf the Web. Nothing about contacts
I guess I'll have to keep working on it. My mom thinks that you can sync 2 devices on the same machine. Yeah, and pigs can fly, too (especially if you buy 'em a ticket
:0). Maybe check apple's list of iSync compatible phones and know that your bluetooth mileage may vary slightly
