Unhappy iWeb 2.0.2 update. Watch out!

Wooooohhh, Apple. What are you doing?

I just upgraded iWeb to the latest version (2.0.2) and jumped on making some changes to my business web site (which is quite simple). Outch.

Good thing I decided to publish to local folder before uplaoding to my server, 'cause my site is not all messed up. Virtually every page is affected with font changes (from ahum... Helvetica to Times!!??), screwed up images created from side boxes.

Not a beautiful sight (excuse the bad play on words. I better laugh about it... )

So, Apple, when is v 2.1 coming?

P.S. It's really too bad because it's a very accessible and simple piece of software for the non-initiated in HTML.

Hmmm...I just ran iWeb and everything looks fine here. Usually when fonts start acting weird it's a sign that you either have a corrupted font folder or that you've inadvertently disabled a typeface that the application needs to use.

Check your FontBook.

Hum... I did check as sugested but no font conflict as I anticipated. I'm using Helvetica for Pete's sake!!

Really, upgrading v1-iWeb sites to v2 is not a good idea. I will do as I did with the other site I had built: total redo! What a snag. What a drag.

Minus 50 points, Apple! If anyone has an idea...

there's plenty of company in your corner. You might find solace at apple's discussion forums
