I have a Sanyo camera that used to work with iPhoto. I don't know what happened, but now when I go to import photos it says camera not selected...I'm totally computer illiterate and I was just wondering if anybody knew what I could do to fix this problem. Thanks!

Check the settings on your camera. Some cameras have the option of being put into "Disk Mode" which should just mount the memory card on the desktop (but wont engage iPhoto). If thats on, turn it off and see what happens. Also, check Image Capture.app in your applications folder. Make sure its set to engage iPhoto when the camera is connected.

It is really weird, when I connect my camera it does not even show up on the Hard Drive. The only place where it acknowledges my camera is in system profiler. Like I said, my camera has worked before on this computer. I don't know if the settings were changed or anything like that.
Got the same problemo. My canon powershot won't connect to my i
Book. I used to upload pics all the time. I tried repairing permissions AND the image capt setting and still nothing.... Anyone know any other way? I wouyld really like to get my pics off my camera.
Hey I actually fixed my problem by reformating my memory card. I lost all of my pictures, but now I can upload new ones from my camera...hope it helps!
