Hi! Does anybody know definitively whether an Intel iMac with a Radeon X1600 256MB video card can drive the 30" Cinema or not? I don't seem to be able to find a concrete answer on the internet.

I do not believe so as the 30" requires a Dual Channel video out.
It would drive the 30" but not to full resolutions.

Video ram is somewhat immaterial. The Dual Channel is key.

Some 256 meg video cards run 30" some don't - design choice.

Definitively - no, it will not work.

Like MacDoc said, the 30" requires a Dual-Link DVI connection, and all iMacs and MacBooks only have Single-Link DVI connections.
