PLS suggest File Renaming utility

Hello all...

I am looking for a file renaming utility to batch change the names of images to a numbered sequence that can be imorted into after effects or final effects. Right now the files are not numbered correctly in sequence and must be sorted by creation date. This can not easily be done by hand as there are thousands of images.

Can anyone reccommend an excellent renumbering utility for this?! HELP!!

I am working on OSX.4

THANKS!!

You can use Automator.. I made a workflow which I will attach.. you may want to try it to make sure it works for you first, before you use it on your files.

GraphicConverter has a renaming function in it, although I've not used it much. Worth a look.

File>Convert & Modify>Rename

Automator is an Apple Application bundled with OS X.
