Boot From DVD Kernal Panic

Hey

Im trying to reinstal Tiger on a G5 but whenever I boot from the DVD the system gives me a kernal panic.

Ive tested the RAM and everything is fine, the system runs well unless I try to boot from the DVD drive.

Can anyone help?

Paul

You may have the wrong install DVD.
That's a common result.
Exactly which G5 do you have and what OS is on the X installer.

Newer G5s need 10.4.3 minimum on the install disc. 10.4 will cause your symptom.
