shiny blank CDs bad for powerbook?

I bought a pack of 100 blank cds with no label. Those shiny silver ones (not for printers). The brand was Cicero even though they had LG stamped on them. I noticed that my PowerBook seemed to have slight trouble in ejecting them. Like they were a little too thick. Other blank cd brands, including prerecorded cds, had no trouble. I assumed it was the brand. I had no trouble with them until I had maybe 20 left and 2 got stuck in my PB. Luckily, they came out after a few attempts of ejecting them (they dismounted but didn't come out).

So I sold the remaining ones to a friend and purchased a pack of Taiyo Yudens since I read somewhere that Apple uses them for their blank cds (when they made them). Today was my first time making a cd and lo and behold, I run into the same problem. My PB has a wee bit of struggle of ejecting them. Could it be because of the shiny surface (the part where you can write on the disc with a marker)? Maybe there's too much friction?

Does any other PB user run into this problem?

I really, really don't want to run the risk of getting these stuck in my PB forever!

17" PB 1.67, 15 months old.

Never had a problem ejecting a CD/DVD. Rarely, the disc doesn't come out far enough to be able to grab on either side for extraction. At this point, I'll push the disc back in and re-eject. I hate pulling a disc out by the top/bottom surfaces.

Just burned around 40 Taiyo Yuden white printable DVD's, no issues either.

Hm... could it be each powerbook's slot drive is different? So you actually push the cd back in?
