I bought a pack of 100 blank cds with no label. Those shiny silver ones (not for printers). The brand was Cicero even though they had LG stamped on them. I noticed that my PowerBook seemed to have slight trouble in ejecting them. Like they were a little too thick. Other blank cd brands, including prerecorded cds, had no trouble. I assumed it was the brand. I had no trouble with them until I had maybe 20 left and 2 got stuck in my PB. Luckily, they came out after a few attempts of ejecting them (they dismounted but didn't come out).
So I sold the remaining ones to a friend and purchased a pack of Taiyo Yudens since I read somewhere that Apple uses them for their blank cds (when they made them). Today was my first time making a cd and lo and behold, I run into the same problem. My PB has a wee bit of struggle of ejecting them. Could it be because of the shiny surface (the part where you can write on the disc with a marker)? Maybe there's too much friction?
Does any other PB user run into this problem?
I really, really don't want to run the risk of getting these stuck in my PB forever!
