Hi, I'm recording a podcast for www.podiobooks.com and they have very specific specs requirements.

I'm brand new to Garageband and 'til now have only used iTunes as a player.

Could somebody walk me through creating these compression specs:

BIT RATE: 64kbps
SAMPLE RATE: 44100 Hz
CHANNEL: Joint Stereo

I'm already recording in stereo (how do I make sure it's "joint" though)?

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to set these specs in GarageBand or in iTunes once I've exported.

A step by step guide would be awesome (assume I've already recorded and edited). Thanks!

Hmmm. I'll investigate that second one. I've never ventured into using the automator for anything.

But more importantly, I've discovered that I can set the specs in iTunes by setting my AAC preferences accordingly and then converting the file to AAC.

If there's a better way to do this, or anyone knows how to set compression rates in iTunes, please let me know!
