Maybe try running software update again. Sounds like you might be missing some java updates possibly as both those projects use java.

Yup, had the same problem. Try running software update again and download the newest verision of Limewire. I also trashed my Limewire prefs before I tried launching it again.

Also, I switched over to Aquisition and find it works much better than Limewire.

Goto the apple menu (Top-left) and selct software update.Ifs nothing needs too be updated, you may need to DL the OS upgrade from the Apple site and install from that. link

That particular update linked there may have applied already, but when you re-run the software update from the apple menu you will probably see a couple of java updates (that require the 10.4.4. update already installed to work), so you wouldn't see them until now.

Does that mean you have to run the 10.4.4 update twice?

no no ... after the 10.4.4 update on 2 machines, when re-running software update I have gotten 2 java updates (that require 10.4.4 to be installed before you see them). So if it's just popping up on auto-update when you do 10.44 you won't have these additional updates in the list until the first time your run software update _after_ the 10.4.4 update is installed.

Both the originating apps with problems the poster mentioned use java so it's likely that this might help
